My Valentine

My dear hubby still sends me flowers!! He is actually quite romantic and thoughtful. He used to give me flowers during our courtships days. He also sent flowers to my workplace in the past which actually cheered me up...... n when I delivered my firstborn and also during his absence days. So I can't complain much about such lovely hubby!!!

My 2009 resolution
This year is our 10th year of marriage. We have grown so much together and gone through so much life stages together. Life used to be ONLY US, then came our first born, then the second and now the number three. So marriage seems more complicated than before. Our past upbringings, education and experiences have pre shaped our parenting attitudes and expectations that we differ so much. NOW we have EVEN more conflicts and differences than before.........Marriage becomes more complex when our children are competing for our attention, love and everything else.
I strongly believe that in order to provide a stable, loving and secure family, we must first love our spouses, our first love. Our children would suffer psychologically if we aren't loving. In fact, it is very detrimental for their psychological well being if we "fight" all the time. Children strive when they find security knowing their parents are committed to work hard to make their marriage work. After our recent frequent outburst of "verbal wars", I realised our first born is nervous, uptight and upset when we raised our voice at one another as both of us were under more stress than ever. So now, I want to make sure that I invest equally much in my marriage too cos it we will lose ALOT MORE if we failed our marriage.
Endevaour to maximize my husband's strengths and minimize his weakness; to fall in love with the man I marry IS MY THIS YEAR'S 2009 RESOLUTION
I want to learn to appreciate my husband's qualities that drew me to him and learn that he shows love to me in a different way. I plan to REread at least 10 books about marriage this year and make it work! MARRIAGE is a HARD work and I dun believe happiness JUST COME LIKE THAT!! A blissful marriage takes effort, time, money and willingness to make it work. And I know God has to be part of this restoration as well!!!

Princess Venecia

You are Mummy's constant heartache. Your nights wailings still frighten mummy so much that it is painful to see you cry inconsolably. I really wish You could quickly talk to me so that I know what's wrong with you. Are you having a bad dream (night terror) or you are in
pain ???? Mummy can only pray that you will have good sleep every night and may all the mighty angels watch over you and grant you peace and sweet dreams!
My dear precious princess, you are such a witty, feisty and cheeky girl that your spontaneous smiles always bring instant joy to my heart! You liven up mummy's mundane life and affirm my mummy's role! I thank God everyday for you, my God's answered prayer when I wanted another child! Though you are such a tough cookie, and strong willed, I know God will give me the wisdom and heaps of patience to handle you. Somehow you are such a bright and lively girl who knows how to cease mummy's impending anger most of the time!
