Harlow Val, finally 干妈 got to hear you play your violin! It's very nice piece of music that you have played. Keep up the good work & love to hear more of it.
My dearest daughter, I truly enjoy going to class with you evey week since you started the class 2yrs ago.
I know violin is not your first love, and I know you are giving your very best in every practice. For that, I will give you an A++!
I remembered vividly, in the begining, how we used to spend many months trying to perfect the simple "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and today, you only need to spend 2-3 lessons to play the complicated "William Tell Overture". It is not an easy journey...but it has been a fruitful one!
One day, I hope you understand the life skill we are trying to teach you here - It is not abt the music, the note reading or the instrument, or make us proud in front of our friends or relatives, but it is about having this simple faith in yourself that you are capable of achieving anything if you just keep trying. Giving up is easy, peasy, lemon squeezy, but it should not be your first option when faces with a challenge.
Valerie, "...if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, 'move from here to there' and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you." Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)
